"Alvaro’s place is absolutely lovely. We were blown away by the land and the nature, and loved our weekend there. The only thing it would be good to note is that you’ll want to rent a 4x4 — the road down to his place is quite rough. Other than that, the trip went smoothly and was very magical. The caretakers were very hospitable and second to none in terms of helpfulness and supporting our group. Thank you for a great stay!"

"Alvaro's property is literally paradise on earth, I can't thank him enough for sharing this amazing place with us. The house is super eco-friendly but yet very comfortable to accommodate large groups (we were 17 people) and beautiful. The beach is completely private and stunning, ideal for sun tanning, playing volleyball and kayaking (among other activities). We are glad we chose the lovely Sian Ka'an reserve for a family reunion, and do not regret the decision to stay over at a place close enough but still isolated from the touristy Tulum. I would highly suggest to inquire about the chef service that Alvaro knows so you can enjoy your time without the hassle of grocery shopping (about 40 min from Casa Camara) and cooking. Alvaro and his staff at the property were super helpful and available 24/7, they even set up a tour for us to explore the reserve. Please do yourself a favor and visit this lovely place!"

"LOVE LIVES HERE. For those of us who aren't into tourist traps but love to be completely immersed in the beauty of Mother Nature, Alvaro's home is the greatest piece of paradise that you will find on this planet. We had the most amazing retreat and all of our attendees continued to praise the magnificence of the location. The couple that lives there, Josue and his wife Yoz, are incredibly loving and helpful. During the day we napped in the hammocks, played in the water and at night we built bonfires and looked up at the stars. SO MANY STARS!! You can actually see the milky way galaxy across the sky. What a magical place. The only negative feedback I have is that the last night we were there, a storm came in and water was flooding in from the roof. The beds were soaked in 4 of the rooms and most of us weren't able to sleep because we were moving the beds around trying to find a dry spot. I truly tried my best to put the experience into words but this was beyond language. Come here if you're looking to deepen your connection to yourself and the universe."

The property is private, absolutely gorgeous, the staff on site were impeccable and helped with all our needs, including cooking. We got to relax but also, kayaked, fishes, paddle boarded, and did lots of walking on the beach and around the property. This place is true magic and is a special gift to anyone who is lucky enough to experience the magic of it all. We Will be coming back again as soon as we can. "The place is absolutely magical. Nothing compares to this experience. It is very off grid but you don’t even mind. There is so much to do whether it’s relaxing by the pool or kayaking and snorkeling, a run on the beach or explore the grounds. Great place for a group to get away and just be. It is a ways out and away from Tulum beach so plan accordingly with food and alcohol. Punta Allen is closer than Tulum but very limited on what is available. I can’t wait to go back. This will always be an extra special place for me as it is where I had my wedding surrounded by my family and friends. Thank you."

Nothing like it elsewhere - we felt like we were in our own personal slice of heaven at Casa Camara! from start to finish Alvaro the host was absolutely wonderful and will help guide you through it all. The staff was AMAZING. They added so much to our trip. And the food - the chef Eduardo was FANTASTIC. If you are questioning place - don’t, book it. If you are considering getting the home chef - do it! Yes the road in is long but well worth it for your own private oasis. We were a smaller group of just 6 women and felt safe and so taken care of the entire trip. We already cannot wait to return!!!"
